It's been quite a while since I've picked up some knitting needles, at least 7 years. I decided to pick them up again recently to make a hat. This was my first time using circular needles and double pointed needles and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I was surprised I hadn't forgotten how to cast on, knit, or purl. I had to look up some instructions on how to finish off the last few stitches though.

With a yarn recommendation from Reebecki, I sought out some Cascade Superwash yarn and finally found some at Weaving Works in Seattle. I was in a rush when I went in so didn't have much time to look around but it seemed they had a nice selection of pretty yarn and would like to go back again and spend a little more time there.

I finished the hat in a week though it was a bit small for it's intended use so I kept it for myself and am in the process of knitting another with a few additional stitches. I used a pattern found online from HJS. It's a simple ribbed pattern. Maybe next time I will try something with a couple different colors and a different pattern.
